Supporting Better Nutrition for Wellness Month
August is Wellness Month. It is a great time of year to get some sunshine, enjoy a hike, and stop by your local farmers’ market. We take a look at some government actions that could bring healthy changes to our school lunch programs as well as an intriguing idea to change how we look at nutrition.
House Appropriations Committee Repeals Protections for Small Farmers and Ranchers
Section 729 of The Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration Appropriations Bill for 2026 defunds Biden-era regulations at the Department of Agriculture. The new rules were put into place to protect ranchers and poultry growers from market abuses and underpayment by large meat packing monopolies. .The chickenization model is bankrupting our small farmers. Don’t let Congress take away what little protections they have.
You’ll Never Fix the Problems Until You Fix the System
Government is a system with hidden webs of interconnected interests. The public is well aware that they are not the special interest of our politicians care about. We need reform. Like all lasting reforms, the change has to come from the bottom up. The fight has to begin in the states. Policy initiatives are great, but without addressing the source of the problems, policies will act as small band-aids until special interests find a way around them. If you want to change the policies, you have to change the system first.
Happy Birthday, America! It’s Time For a Change.
Happy Birthday America! It’s time for a change.
For over a century, our political system has been dominated by two major parties. The financial collapse of 2008 and the current struggle of the American middle class is giving rise to many bursts of populism. The country has seen populist movements rise and fall, either being co-opted into the two major parties or split apart by internal divisions. The question is whether or not Americans can unite to grab hold of the moment, or will we allow ourselves to remain divided? It’s time to put faction behind us and unite for meaningful change. Join us in Centre Hall July 18-20th to start the next revolution in American Politics.
Happy Father’s Day
Happy Father’s Day to all the wonderful men in our lives! As we celebrate Father’s Day this year and honor the important men in our lives. It is important to take a moment and think about how we can better bridge divides in our families and communities. We can honor them by modeling the values they instilled in us. Let us take this Father’s Day to celebrate the wisdom and values passed down to us by our dads and ask ourselves what we each can do better to pass them on.
The Movement for Better Health in Pennsylvania
We The People Party of Pennsylvania emerged from the grassroots effort to elect Robert F. Kennedy Jr. President in 2024. Our support for Kennedy stemmed from his commitment to solving health issues that no other politician had been willing to address. His desire to take on these topics inspired us and reengaged millions of Americans who had long felt abandoned.
It’s Past Time to Overhaul Pennsylvania’s Election Code
It's past time to overhaul Pennsylvania’s election code. It has been 88 years since the election code was written. Piecemeal updates and band-aids offered by the courts have only contributed to confusion, abusive lawfare, and unequal practices across counties. We need a new set of laws that make it easier for good candidates to run and allow all voters and candidates to participate in every election.
